Learning networking?
You're not going to be able to even remotely grasp Cisco concepts without a very strong knowledge of networking concepts. If you want good foundational knowledge, get the Network+ certification first through CompTIA. If that's over your head, you need to start with A+. You should probably take the Security+ certification as well. Then and only then, would I recommend you pursue Cisco. If you can, take a class where you get to configure Cisco router and switches, otherwise the test is going to be near impossible unless you have some really good simulators.
Reply:My recommendation is to pick a less stressful field to work in.

I would rather be a garbage man then do what I do.

If you dont have a strong technical background try something else.

Seriously.
Reply:Cisco has online courses to prep you for your CCNA. It's a tough test though so study hard before trying to pass it.

Also I agree with what the first guy answered. If I could go back I would have just be a software developer. They make better money and there are like 100 to 1 more jobs. I couldn't even get a networking job so I became a DBA.
