Networking etiquette?

Wanted to see what you think I should do in this situation:

I met someone at a conference and through this person (P1) got connected to another person (P2). When P1 emailed us both to make the connection, P2 replied quite immediately with such enthusiasm to help, giving me the impression that she wants to help. I took a week to think of my reply and wrote to her. I followed up with another email but have not heard back. Wanted to see if I should:

1. write another email to P2

2. write to P1 to see if P2 is ok or if I offend her in any way (which I'm certain I didn't but who knows, people are strange sometimes)

3. forget the whole thing (even though it is a very good networking lead).

I appreciate your suggestion...thanks!

Networking etiquette?
If I were you, I'd send an email to P1 and ask if they know if P2 is still interested.
Reply:I would e-mail P1, and thank this person for the introduction, then mention that you have followed up with P2, and that you are waiting for a reply...and ask that if P1 should talk to P2 anytime soon, to mention that you are looking forward to communication soon............................geeeeeee... feel like I am reffering to a bunch of robots or something...lol, best of luck!
Reply:Waiting a week was probably not a good thing to do. Gives the impression that you weren't really interested in her help.

She could be traveling or otherwise busy.... or she has lost interest in helping you.

I would go with 3. Not really forgetting about it. If she still wants to help you, she will get back to you when she is able. You have already followed up once. If she does respond make sure you get back with her immediately, if you need to take more than 24 hours to respond, send a note saying you will respond in a couple of days.
