Networking problem?

please suggest as my second pc connected with Ist pc by a networking system is not working nor internet connetion is working on my second pc?

What is your network? How are the computers connected?
Reply:in the bios choice boot from network lan. so it will boot form what you connect system.
Reply:1. Please make sure that U have given different IP addresses for two different system.





i) for doing the above, follow the steps below,





Right click on MY NETWORK PLACES --%26gt;open network connections --%26gt;Right click on Local area network icon--%26gt; choose TCP/IP port, then click properties... Enter the IP address.








2. Also please make sure that ur two computers belong to the same workgroup.





To do this,


Right click on MY COMPUTER---%26gt; properties--%26gt; in the computer name TAB, click CHANGE and enter the workgroup.














3. And for internet connections, open internet explorer, in the tools menu, click options, and connections tab, then lan settings , then enter the ip of ur system which has internet connection and check the box bypass proxy server, also enter the port id as 8080.








These things will surely help u to rectify ur problem..
