Should I focus my degree on Networking, Internetworking, Security or Programming?

My college has changed their Computer Infomation Systems department. Which is the best for my career? Security, Internetworking, Networking or Programming?

Security: Firewall architecture and configuration, security measures and implementing an organization’s security plan. Define and implement operating system security, database security, and application security principles

Internetworking: Design and configure internetworking devices and protocols (i.e. firewalls, routers and switches.) Troubleshoot networking/internetworking problems. Define the network management functions

Networking: Administer common client and server operating systems. Define and use directory services. Perform server administration tasks.

Programming: Develop IS applications to support business processes and web applications using C++ and JAVA programming languages

Should I focus my degree on Networking, Internetworking, Security or Programming?
Hmmm, I think you should really do what you want to do. Whatever will make you happiest, and your schedule to fit, while supporting yourself and your family.
Reply:Well, with all of them you have equal opportunities!Go with the 1 you would see yourself benefiting from....

Programming is cool but security is interesting and much more challenging!!!
Reply:Well, frankly, all of them have equal Opportunities!

I'd say you should choose what you like doing.

Let your heart tell you what it wants.

Cheers.
Reply:I started out in Networking. Moved to Security and ended up programming. I like programming the best because it is at my own pace. I set my own pace.

I have all kinds of time to screw around now.

Go with whatever you would rather do. Work, or programming. It's your call.
