What is Networking??
Networking is linking different computers together to interact. People use networking to connect to the internet, or simply to share files. I have a network in my house to connect different computers to the internet, wirelesly.

Reply:Networking refers to connecting more than one computer together, or several computers to a main computer called a 'server'.

A typical 'LAN' (local area network) in an office will have a server, usually more than one - for e-mail, file storage, internet access, etc. - and then all of the machines in the office will be connected to the server(s) through a router by network cables. 10/100 ethernet was the standard for a long time, but gigabit ethernet has been becoming more common.

A 'LAN' can connect to other servers over the internet to form a 'WAN' (wide area network). This can allow an company with offices in different locations to be connected together.

Wireless networks are becoming the standard in homes, and are starting to replace hardwired networks in offices as well. You can eliminate the need to run (and hide) wires, as well as being able to go anywhere in the range of your wireless router with a laptop computer and still be connected to the internet or to the other computers in your house/office. There are range extenders to boost your signal.
