Networking: Is it better to have a bachlor's degree or an associate's degree and CCNA certified?

I have 2 options:option 1- go to 4 year university and get a bachelor's degree in Networking

option 2- go to a 2 year community college and get an associate's degree in networking and take a 1 year CCNA certification course afterwards.

Which one will put me in a better place with employers? which one looks better on a resume?

Do the 4-year degree.Having a bachelor's degree, in the long run, is better than the associates...more job opportunities, better pay...I am at East Carolina Univerisity, in NC, and I am doing Information Technology-Concentration in Networking. You get the 4-year degree and take Cisco 1-8 during the four years. You're able to be CCNA %26amp; CCNP certified.Make sure you get certified because just taking the courses and having the degree isn't much. You're looking at making max $12-$15/hr...basic pc repair jobs since you're not certified. But with the 4-year degree + certification $50-$80K/year, depending on where you live.If you have any more questions please feel free to e-mail me!
